Psychologically, it is the emotional scars left by acne far more than those obvious red bumps on the face, the aftermath caused by acne that could not just be healed by any cream or acne solution is excruciating. As a matter of fact, acne is very common regardless of age, more likely than not, it is more bothersome during adolescent years. Be generous with praises but do not use them just to flatter. Tell your teen about how wonderful his or her talent is. This would be a lift to his/her morale.

First and foremost, starting with proper diet by cutting down on process foods, canned foods, junk foods-alike, and sugary drinks. Process foods contain seasonings created from the lab, it may be appealing to our taste buds but toxin to our body. Sugary drinks on the other hand, does more harm than good when fighting with acne.

Next would be starting a face cleaning routine. Use mild face wash, try to avoid soap contains fragrance and chemicals. You may want to try the non-aluminum baking soda as face wash follow by Salicylic Acid.

You are a parent, and you could help out your teen feel better through the misjudgments of the society towards people with acne. This is just a stage; it would surely be put to an end. Be there and support your child like no one could.
